About the Club

The Illawarra Jazz Club Inc. is a non-profit organisation whose main objectives are to:

  • promote the performance and appreciation of all forms of jazz;
  • support local talent and in particular to encourage young people to perform, listen to and develop an appreciation of jazz;
  • organise activities for the presentation and promotion of jazz and for members and others to participate in the enjoyment of this music;
  • liaise with other clubs with similar aims and interests;
  • raise funds, acquire property and to do all other things as may be necessary and conducive to enable the Club to carry out its objects effectively.

Throughout the year, we run various events such as our Annual "Easterfest" Jazz Festival which is held on the long weekend from Good Friday to Easter Monday. We conduct fundraising trivia nights, dinner dances, concerts, our annual Ball, weekend trips and we finish each year with an outstanding Christmas party.

We especially welcome new members and invite you to join the Club and get involved.  We guarantee you will have lots of fun and that you will meet heaps of new friends.  If you are interested in becoming a member, please download our Membership Form, complete all necessary details and send with your cheque to PO Box 6017, Wollongong  NSW  2500.

The Club meets on the third Monday of every month at the Illawarra Master Builders Club in Wollongong from 8.00 pm. All are welcome to attend.  Please ask at the door for the location of the meeting.
